Der 38999-Stil überträgt sicher hohe Spannungen und große Ströme in der Höhenlage und bleibt dabei partiell entladungsfrei, um die Lebensdauer der Steckverbinder zu verlängern. Diese Steckverbinder arbeiten aufgrund der vorhandenen Sperrschaltung nach dem Prinzip „Last Mate, First Break“ und können mit Standardzubehör nach MIL-DTL-38999 verwendet werden.
