Die STMicroelectronics HDMI2C1 ESD-Schutzvorrichtung / Signalverstärker-ICs kombinieren obligatorische Steuersignalaufbereitung und ESD-Schutz für HDMI-kompatible Produkte. Dieses neue Produkt vereinfacht das Design von HDMI-konformen Anschlüssen für HD-Set-Top-Boxen wie Blu-ray-Player, Spielekonsolen und Satellitendecoder. Diese Geräte belegen bis zu 70% weniger Platz als ein gleichwertiges Netzwerk von diskreten Bauelementen für ESD-Schutzvorrichtungen, Aufwärtsreglung und Pegelverschiebung von HDMI-Steuersignalen.

- TMDS high bandwidth and very low clamping voltage ESD protection
- Supports direct connection to low-voltage HDMI ASIC and/or CEC driver (down to 1.8V)
- DDC capacitive decoupling between ASIC and HDMI connector and dynamic pull-up for long cable driving
- 8kV contact ESD protection on connector side
- Back drive protection on 5V, DDC bus and CEC
- CEC independent structure from main power supply
- HDMI Ethernet and audio return channel (HEAC) compatible
- HPD pull down and signal conditioning
- Short-circuit protection on 5V output
