Phoenix Contact VIP-ER Interface Modules have been developed to expand the breadth of products within the VARIOFACE Professional line, while also addressing customer demand for an interface module with high-speed termination capabilities. VARIOFACE Professional revolutionized interface modules with its unique design that results in a slim, compact, and rugged package. VIP-ER will expand this concept for customers looking to extend beyond the passive feed-through line of modules and come into the world of active interface modules via push-in technology. The Phoenix Contact VIP-ER Series offer the same great features and benefits of the existing VARIOFACE Professional interface modules, but now also incorporate "active" features like relays and fuses. This further simplifies individual signal control between field devices and upper level controllers.

    • Faster and simpler wiring - up to 50 percent faster installation compared to screw termination
    • No special tools required for installation
    • Ensures complete termination of the conductor and reduces potential errors

  • Exceptional wire retention force:
    • Strong wire pull-out force provides a dependable and long-lasting connection
    • Ideal for high-shock and vibration applications
    • Ensures wires won't back out and reduces maintenance costs
  • Rugged DIN rail mounting:
    • A single metal DIN foot slides to allow the installer to apply and remove the module without the use of tools
    • 100 percent of the control side of the module remains in contact with the rail
    • Metal DIN foot provides a vibration-resistant connection up to 5g
  • Active components for increased functionality:
    • Slim relays are compact, pluggable, and easily replaceable
    • New toggle switch on digital input relay modules allows for fast selection of positive or negative switching
      • This switch eliminates the need for separate part numbers since one module can handle both sinking or sourcing
    • Fuses on the new power distribution module are easy to remove and replace
    • DeltaV module includes slim disconnect plugs for easy signal testing for each channel
