NXP Semiconductors Tower System
NXP Tower System is a modular development platform for 8-, 16-, and 32-bit microcontrollers that enables advanced development through rapid prototyping. The Tower System from NXP features multiple development boards, or modules, and provides designers with building blocks for entry-level to advanced MCU development. NXP Tower System provides interchangeable and reusable modules that make it easy to customize your design. This NXP development platform also provides open source hardware, software, and BDM debug hardware to speed up the design process. Peripheral modules can be reused with all Tower System controller modules, eliminating the need to purchase redundant hardware for future designs. The new TWR-MCF5225X module provides ColdFire V2 Connectivity with complimentary MQX Software.Evaluating NXP solutions using the Tower System is easy with modular, reconfigurable hardware. Interchangeable microcontroller and peripheral boards leverage standardized, open source hardware, making it simple to create a customized development tool for all of your design needs. Just plug-n-play.
Open source software lets you quickly begin developing with proven designs that you can immediately reuse in your own development platform. With enabling technologies like WiFi, LDC, serial and memory interfacing, off-the-shelf development tools give a customized feel to your enablement solution. Each MCU module includes Open Source BDM debug hardware, allowing it to become a standalone BDM tool and getting you to market faster.
