The Amphenol Commercial LUSB Connector Series for Harsh Environments features a unique locking mechanism in which the latch must be intentionally raised in order to remove the plug. An accidental pull on the cable up to 22 lbs (10kg) force will not separate the connectors. The Amphenol Commercial LUSB Connector Series for Harsh Environments are ideal for applications in which vibration and inadvertent separation of the cable causes a loss of data, such as medical equipment, ATM machines, lottery terminals, GPS, hand held data loggers, commercial vehicles, radios, PDAs, and automotive mobile entertainment systems.
