Designers can use the platform elements to build, demonstrate, and prototype embedded systems connected to daughter evaluation boards, through the use of interposer and third party boards.
The SDP-B controller board is used with various Analog Devices component evaluation boards and reference circuits as part of a user evaluation environment. The SDP-B controller board provides USB connectivity through a USB 2.0 high-speed connection to the computer enabling users to evaluate components on this platform from a PC application. The SDP-B controller board is based on the ADSP-BF527 Blackfin Embedded Processor. The Blackfin processor peripheral communication lines are available to the component daughter board through two identical, small footprint 120-pin connectors. The 120-pin connectors allow the Blackfin processors’ peripherals to connect to the SDP compatible daughter boards. Each of the connectors provides configurable Serial, Parallel I²C, and SPI and GPIO communications lines to the attached daughter board.
